This is a new area of work for us but one that we're working hard to get right because we know the impact another trusted adult can have in these young people's lives.
We have a small team of staff with the skills and experience to support students with a wide variety of social, emotional and mental health needs. We know that mentoring works best when it starts as early as possible and when the young person is keen to work with the mentor. Wanting and being able to engage is critical to the mentoring relationship working and we'll be very honest about when we think that's happening and when it isn't.
Please contact our CEO, Rachel Key, rachel.key@lifespace.org.uk for a no obligation conversation. We're very happy to suggest schools that can act as references.
